The Board of NAIFA-New Jersey is proud to announce that the state chapter's annual meeting will be held on October 19, 2021. The event will be held from 9 am - 12 pm as a virtual event for the health of all participants.
The theme of the event is "Emerge Stronger" and focuses on empowering financial services professionals to set the path to emerge stronger from the pandemic in both their professional and personal lives. Kicking off the event is NAIFA-NJ State President Bellaria Jimenez, MBA, CFP, CLU, CDFA, ChFC, loyal member since 2018 who will introduce a special VIP guest speaker to address the audience.
President Jimenez will welcome the keynote speaker, Matthew Newman, TedX speaker, author, and cancer survivor to present ""Starting at the Finish Line". The high-energy, motivational speaker's heart is in financial services and not only has a great appreciation for our industry, but reveres the agents and advisors that work each day with clients in both their best of times and in their darkest times. His keynote will not only offer inspiration but practical sales techniques for how to better connect and understand your prospective clients' and clients' blocking points and motivations.
Following Newman, all attendees will then hear from Brian D. Singleton, Esquire, an estate planning attorney who will break down how new tax proposals may affect your business regardless of your practice area. The proposed changes in taxation is so broad as to affect every producer in the financial services industry, so this is a session that you cannot afford to miss.
NAIFA is the organization that advocates for your business and the clients that you serve every day. Whether it is in the New Jersey statehouse, or on Capitol Hill, our combination of our professional state lobbyist, our grassroots program, and our political action committee is the reason that we've been able to stave off harmful legislation and regulations that would hurt us. We invite you to get more involved and celebrate our members that have taken on leadership roles to guide our state chapter. Following the educational sessions, all attendees are invited to stay for the annual meeting to witness, vote, and install the newly elected officers. The installation will be conducted by Immediate Past President Corrado Gugliotta, CLTC, FSCP, LUTCF, loyal member since 2003.
Registration is now open. To view the schedule and attend, please visit the "Emerge Stronger" event site.
